Ladakh

Ladakh, the land of high passes, is a heavenly wonderland that remains largely untouched by the urban lifestyle. This mystic land is blessed with oxygen defying high passes, high & jagged peaks and green valleys dotted with farms. Travel to Ladakh and you will be immersed in peace and quietness and find more ways to be one with nature.

Indian Army in World War I

Earlier this year, we travelled to Belgium for a short holiday. We took the opportunity to go & visit some of the numerous war memorials in the region that commemorated the Indian soldiers who fought in the World War I. This essay is my humble attempt to shed light on India's vital contribution to World War I & provide some statistics to underscore the scale of its involvement.

Ribe

A few years ago, I was on a business trip to Denmark when I had an opportunity to visit the charming, historic town of Ribe located in southwestern Denmark.
Ribe, known as the Viking capital of Denmark, is steeped in history & tradition, & walking on its cobbled streets gives off a vibe of walking through history.

This is a brief account of my unplanned & short visit to the Danish town of Ribe.
